Lifebuoy: Handwashing Campaign
Sehat Kahani is currently enrolled with Lifebuoy to carry out a Hand washing campaign in the designated. The objective of the campaign is to bring a behavior change for hand hygiene practices among mothers and children in low income communities of Pakistan. The campaign targets mothers and children using random sampling. Being conducted in 5 communities, the 6 month campaign is based on a 21 day activity whereby the idea of hand washing is promoted amongst families. By the end of the program, Sehat Kahani aims to ensure that there is an increase in the number of families exhibiting health hygiene practices and a reduction in diseases such as diarrhea and other infections.
Lifebuoy Floats: Sehat Ka Safar!
Sehat Kahani in collaboration with Lifebuoy has launched floats i.e. ‘e-mobile clinics’ that move across different cities of Pakistan! Each Lifebuoy float has a nurse and a female e-specialist available who are assigned to each float by Sehat Kahani. The online doctor conducts nurse assisted e-consultations with the patients of the vicinity the float has stopped in for a certain period of time. So far the floats have been launched in Peshawar, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi!
Engro Olper’s: Drinking Safe Milk!
Sehat Kahani in collaboration with Engro Olper’s, has been conducting the “Drinking Safe Milk” campaign in each of its eight Sehat Kahani E-Health Centres. The patients are given Olper’s packs on their visit to the clinics, and are asked to use it instead of the loose milk available in the community. At the end of each month, the patients are assessed on the basis of frequent illnesses, changes in health, & no. of visits made. This is followed by a session in which the “healthy change” in the community is highlighted along with the importance of UHT milk in our lives.
Engro Polymer: #Awareness4Sehat Drive!
Sehat Kahani in collaboration with Engro Polymer has launched a Community Preventive Health campaign series. The theme of the first campaign, that took place in May 2017, was “Maternal & Child Health”. The goal was to screen, diagnose and treat MNCH modalities prevalent in communities. Volunteers from Dow University of Health Sciences(D.U.H.S), Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) & National Volunteer Programme(NVP) helped us in conducting the first camp. We aim to take on-board volunteers from all institutes across Pakistan for our preventive health campaign!
The camp catered to over 300 mothers of Ghaghar Phathak, along with their offsprings! Nearly 125 females were also provided with a pro bono ultrasound facility available followed by assessment of reports.
GlaxoSmithKline: #Sehat4All Drive!
Sehat Kahani in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline has launched a Community Preventive Health campaign series. As part of the drive, camps & awareness sessions are being conducted at all of our E-Hubs, along with renowned medical universities like Frontier Medical College(FMC) and various factories! Patients are screened for treatable ailments like hypertension, fever & calcium deficiency. We have signed up volunteers from Dow University of Health Sciences(D.U.H.S), Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) & National Volunteer Programme(NVP) to assist us in conducting the drive successfully. We aim to take on-board volunteers from all institutes across Pakistan for our preventive health campaign!
So far, around 1000 individuals have been impacted through this drive. Let’s combat health inequality together!
